About us

A neighbourhood laundry with delivery

We began in 2011 with just one desk and two washing machines. Today we have three washing machines, two dryers, a place where we press and fold, eight people who work here, and a van out on the road. The same family that started it all still runs it today.

Trained staff

Before anyone here is allowed to touch a customer's clothes, they spend two whole weeks learning how. They work right next to one of our most experienced people the entire time.

Van on the road

Our van is out on the road every day of the week, from 8 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon, and again from 4 in the afternoon until 10 at night.

Pieces cleaned every month

Every month, more than eight thousand pieces of clothing pass through our hands. We collect from Rawdat Al Hamama, Al Kheesa, Lusail and the places close by.

Sorting whites, colours and delicates into labelled baskets

How we work

Sorting is where the job is won

Almost every laundry problem starts at the sorting table, before anything has even been washed. Picture a red sock hiding in a pile of white shirts and turning them all pink. Or a woolly jumper going into hot water and coming out far too small to wear. Or a mark that nobody spotted in time. So we sort everything by hand into baskets with labels on them, and we write down every single piece next to your name before any of it goes into a machine.

Doing it this way takes us longer than simply tipping the whole bag straight into a machine. But this is how we look after your clothes properly.

Our team

Trained here, kept here

New people here learn how to read the little labels sewn inside clothes, how to set the machines properly, and how to iron a thobe collar so that it keeps its shape. Most of our team have worked with us for more than three years now. That is why the same driver turns up at your gate week after week, and why he already knows just how you like things done.

1

Every order is written down with your name on it, along with how many pieces we took from you.

2

Someone checks and mends our machines almost every month, so the water is always exactly the right heat.

3

Washing, ironing and pressing are done right here, in our own shop. For dry cleaning, blankets and carpets we work with a specialist partner, and every piece comes back to us to be checked before it goes to you.
