One bag, and we do the rest
Put all your clothes in one bag. No need to sort them. We sort each item and charge only for the cleaning it needs.
Washing
This is for the clothes you wear every day, and for towels, bed sheets and school uniforms. First we split everything into piles by hand: white things, coloured things, and soft delicate things. Every piece of clothing has a little label sewn inside that says how hot the water should be, and we always follow it. Then we dry each thing in the way that suits it best. When your clothes come back, they are either folded in a sealed bag or hanging up. You choose which one you prefer.
Most washing is ready in one day. If you send us a really big load from the whole house, please give us two days for that one.
Stain removal
Spilled something? We can help with tea and coffee, cooking oil, yellow curry powder, pen ink, grass from the garden, and makeup. We always work on the mark by hand first, before the clothes go anywhere near a machine. This matters a lot, because if a mark is washed in hot water first, it sticks for good and will never come out. So just point at the spot and show our driver where it is.
We do not charge you for taking marks out. And if we look at it and think we cannot get it out, we will tell you that first, before you pay anything.
Dry cleaning
This is for smart clothes like suits, jackets, warm winter coats, fancy abayas and party dresses. Dry cleaning uses no water at all. It uses a special liquid instead. Because there is no water, woolly things keep their shape and do not go small, and pretty sewn on patterns stay flat and neat. When it comes back to us, we hold each piece up to a bright light and check it all over. Then it goes into a cover to keep it clean.
Clothes with tiny beads or hand sewn patterns are very easy to damage. They are cleaned extra gently, on their own, away from everything else. Dry cleaning is done with a specialist partner, under our care.
Pressing
This one is just ironing. It is for clothes that are already clean but have gone all crinkly. It is perfect for shirts that have been squashed inside a suitcase, or a thobe you want to look sharp in before a party. We do the collar, the cuffs and the buttons down the front by hand on an ironing board, because those are the bits that need the most care.
Drop it at the shop and you can have it back within the hour. If our van collects it, allow about six hours.
Steam pressing
Steam is simply very hot water floating in the air. It makes the crinkles fall out of cloth without anything hard ever touching it. We use steam on thin shiny materials like silk and chiffon, on soft velvet, and on clothes with pictures printed on them. A hot iron pressed straight onto those would leave a shiny mark that will not come off. If the clothes need neat folds, we shape them with our hands while the cloth is still warm and soft.
If you are not sure which one to choose, just ask us for steam. It costs a tiny bit more, but it is always the safer choice.
Starch finishing
Starch is what makes clothes feel stiff and look crisp instead of floppy. You get to pick how much you want. A little bit still feels soft and normal. A medium amount is good for shirts you wear to work. A lot makes a thobe stand up almost by itself. Tell our driver once which one you like, and we will remember it and do it that way every single time.
This is already part of the wash and press price. You do not pay anything extra for it.
Shoe cleaning
You can add shoes to your order too. We clean trainers, leather shoes and sandals. First we scrub the bottoms to get all the dirt off. Then we clean the top part by hand, using the right cleaner for that material, because leather and cloth need different things. After that we let them dry in the fresh air, and we put clean laces back in.
A pair of shoes costs 30 riyals to clean, or 40 riyals for a dry clean. If you need them back in a hurry, it is 50 or 60.
Blanket and curtain cleaning
Blankets and curtains are the biggest things in the house, and the heaviest when they are wet. They need lots of water, lots of room, and a long time to dry all the way through. If a blanket is put away while it is still a little damp, it starts to smell. So this part is never hurried. When it is fully dry, it is folded and slid into a clean cover.
Because drying takes longer, please give us two days for blankets and curtains. Curtains are washed in our own shop. Blankets are washed with a specialist partner, under our care. Every blanket comes back to us first, and we check it closely before it goes to you.
Carpet cleaning
A carpet holds a lot of dust deep down, where you cannot see it. So first the dust comes out. Then the carpet is washed and dried all the way through, so it comes back fresh and does not smell.
We charge for carpets by the metre. If yours is very big, we tell you the price first, before we start. You can always say no. Carpets are cleaned with a specialist partner, under our care. Every carpet comes back to us first, and we check it closely before it goes to you.
Express service
Sometimes you need something today. Maybe there is a wedding tonight, or a meeting in the morning. Bring your clothes to the shop and you can have them back within the hour. If our van collects them, allow about six hours.
On our price list every item shows two numbers. The second number is the express price.
Home pickup and delivery
The van belongs to us and the driver works for us, so we can come every day of the week. The van is out from 8 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon, and again from 4 in the afternoon until 10 at night. You pick a two hour slot. When the van is outside your home, the driver sends you a message or gives you a ring. Inside the van your clothes hang up on a rail, just like in a wardrobe. That way they do not get squashed, and they arrive without any new crinkles.
We do not charge you for the trip. Pickup and delivery are free, even if you send us just one shirt.
